The EcoCoolBox is the eco-friendly alternative to the traditional EPS box (Styrofoam/styrofoam) when it comes to protecting and transporting products that are sensitive to temperature changes.
Every day, products are packed that are subject to temperature influences during transport to customers. Many a product will lose its quality if the right measures are not taken to protect it.
In practice, environmentally unfriendly materials are frequently used to control the temperature in packaging to prevent spoilage or quality deterioration. In recent decades, materials such as EPS, EPP, polypropylene and polyethylene have been used for this application, which have the disadvantage of not degrading in nature.
The EcoCoolBox provides an answer to the drawbacks of environmentally unfriendly insulation packaging.
The EcoCoolBox achieves these properties by using clean recycled cardboard fibres (free of mineral oils) and wrapping them in a flexible and breathable paper packaging. The cardboard fibres fully comply with European food contact guidelines. Above all, the cardboard fibres and the cardboard packaging are made of recycled paper and the entire EcoCoolBox 100% is recyclable.
This enables the EcoCoolBox to give highly effective protection to products that are sensitive to temperature influences.
On top of that, the cardboard fibres have excellent moisture regulation properties, reducing the influence of the moisture content in the vicinity of the packaging.
The EcoCoolbox derives its performance from the high insulation value of the cardboard fibres and the wall thickness of the packaging. The shipping box can be designed with a maximum wall thickness of 40 mm.
This environmentally friendly insulation box is also suitable for transporting frozen foods.
The EcoCoolBox is very suitable for transporting frozen products. In combination with dry ice, at least 24 hours of transport time can be bridged.
A European patent has been obtained for the use of cardboard fibres as insulation material.

Yes, the box consists of a cardboard box whose walls are lined with old newspaper pulvers. So the box consists of 100% recycled paper and is also 100% recyclable again.
Exactly how long a product stays chilled is difficult to say. This is mainly because a number of variables come into play: Ambient temperature, transport time and the temperature at which the product enters the packaging. In general, you can certainly keep your products chilled/frozen for 48 hours.
The Eco Cool Box is available in two different sizes: 400x300x300mm and 600x400x400mm.
